The LNG is transported by sea from the origin to the user, where it is received and stored at a receiving station. When unloading, the LNG is collected by the ship's delivery pump through the discharge arm and its branch pipe to the main pipe, and through the main pipe to the LNG storage tank. In this process, it is usually necessary to install flowmeters in the main pipe for metering.
Current problems: the flowmeter used in the early design of the project is a branch force mass flowmeter, but due to the structural limitations of the mass flowmeter itself, the maximum diameter can only be DN250, and it is necessary to use multiple parallel to meet the measurement requirements, which will bring greater pressure loss and cost increase, resulting in economic losses for the owner.
In the flow measurement of low temperature fluid, generally avoid the use of flange sealing structure, because of the reason of thermal expansion and contraction of some leakage is difficult to control, and the structure of the "A+K balance flowmeter" is the throttle parts and pressure port integration, the measurement of low temperature fluid when the whole flowmeter and pipe is welded, no leakage point, to solve the problem of the flow meter at very low temperature leakage is difficult to control.
Performance characteristics
Cryogenic fluids are usually stored in a saturated state in an insulated storage vessel. In the transfer, pump pressure, send out, start the process, and repeated pressure, pressure. In this process, the extremely low temperature fluid in the saturated state changes into the supercold state and the boiling state, and the state is easy to change. Therefore, flowmeter design needs to take measures to avoid or mitigate the impact of this process.
